Professional Experience

She began her professional career in the federal judicial field and later joined the banking sector, where she was responsible for negotiations, contracts, and high-value litigation in the northeastern region of the country. Years later, she became part of the Federal Judiciary Council and the Courts of the Federal Judiciary, which enabled her to gain extensive experience in federal proceedings, Amparo trials, judicial procedures and rulings, and interpretation of laws and international treaties to which Mexico is a party.

In 2017, Ms. Valles began her involvement in the mining sector by providing external legal counsel. She later assumed leadership of the legal teams in various mining companies operating in Mexico. She was also in charge of Social Responsibility and Government Relations departments, advising different areas of mining companies on their operational, exploration, community, and governmental relations needs and challenges.

Additionally, from 2022 to 2023, she had the honor of directing the Mining Directorate of the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development of the Government of the State of Chihuahua, where she proudly supported the sector in navigating major regulatory changes in recent years.
