Chihuahua, Chih., Julio 31st, 2025
Dear Clients and Friends,
As part of the corporate legal compliance of the companies that have a General Permit issued by the General Directorate of the Federal Registry of Firearms and Explosives Control under de Ministry of Defense (SEDENA), we remind you that in order to continue operating with explosive material, flares, fireworks and/or chemical substances under your General Permit (and if the case, and Ordinary Import Permit) in 2026, the renewal application shall be filed in the following weeks.
Therefore, we recommend strengthening the review of both administrative obligations (such as submission of monthly reportes and notices, as well as the recording of operations in authorized logbooks) and safety compliance at your storage, use and/or sales sites.
We remind you that, from July onwards, the military authorities, trough the different Military Zones or Commands Stations, will be conducting the second inspection visits (reviews) to ensure the compliance of the referred obligations. These visits are one of the essential requirements for the renewal applications, so it is recommended that you review them carefully in order to provide the correct information and take photographs of the current inventories and warehouses.
Therefore, we would like to inform you that our law firm is prepared to provide the necessary support to the companies that require the necessary assistance to fully comply with their annual obligations in relation to explosive material, flares, fireworks and/or chemical substances regulated by SEDENA.
You can contact either, Rolando Castellanos-Macal at rcastellanos@iclmx.com; Jorge Almanza-Ríos at jalmanza@iclmx.com; and Javier David Rodríguez-Torrecillas at jrodriguez@iclmx.com; for any further information that you might require.
