Chihuahua, Chih., March 4th, 2024
Dear Friends and Clients,
As part of the compliance with social, corporate, and fiscal regulations, it is crucial to be aware of the new requirements established on February 21st of the current year, as published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF). Both individuals and legal entities seeking registration in the public registry of Providers of Specialized Services or Works must adhere to these requirements.
The same requisites are effective as of February 22nd, 2024:
Regarding renewal:
- REPSE registration renewal must be processed every three years, taking place three months prior to the expiration of the license.
The new requirements are as follow:
- Provide details of the activities intended for registration.
- Be current with fiscal and social security obligations (SAT, IMSS and INFONAVIT).
- Precisely specify the service to be provided, or the type of specialized work to be executed. Provide information and documentation under oath. This includes details on training, certifications, permits, or licenses regulating the activity, assets, social capital, machinery, risk level, average salary range, experience, among other relevant aspects.
- In the case of individuals, the registered activity must align with their fiscal status certificate.
For the registration and renewal procedures:
- Submission will occur through an entry folio, with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), resolving within the next 20 business days.
- Once the renewal notice is generated, containing the registration number and activity folio for each registered specialized services or work, the STPS will proceed with the REPSE renewal.
- The 3-year validity period commences from the date of registration in the REPSE.
- For renewal, a “Registration Renewal” section has been enabled at https://repse.stps.gob.mx/ , allowing the process only within the 3 months preceding the original registration.
- When the renewal process is not carried out within the established deadlines, the registration is canceled, and a new registration process must be initiated.
- Renewal information must be communicated to the REPSE registry beneficiaries of the specialized services or work.
