Additional health measures for the State of Chihuahua

Chihuahua, Chih., April 21st, 2020.

 

Dear Clients and Friends;

We hereby inform you that on April 19th 2020, on the State´s Official Gazette, the RESOLUTION No. 064/2020 issued by the State’s Governor, was published; the herein resolution, foresees additional health measures regarding COVID-19 caused by the SARS-Cov2 virus, such as the following:

• Companies that perform “essential activities” are allowed to continue their operations, in terms of the resolution issued by the Federal Health Ministry, published on March 31st, 2020 on the Federal Official Gazette.

• The Labor and Social Security Ministry is instructed to conduct the corresponding inspections, within the scope of its faculties, in order to guarantee the compliance of the aforementioned resolution.

• The Public, Social and Private sectors, shall enforce health measures in the areas in which essential activities are carried out, such as the mandatory use of face-masks, frequent hand washing, among others.

• Regarding the Manufacturing and Construction Industry, a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between each person must be kept and all mandatory requirements and protocols must be met, in order to prevent new infections amongst the employees.

• The population of the State of Chihuahua must comply with the “stay at home” policy.
• All censuses and surveys shall be postponed.

• Concessionaires, license holders, drivers and users of the transportation services shall comply with the established preventive and hygiene measures.

• Commercial establishments considered as essential that remain open, shall prevent large numbers of people from gathering inside the establishment, this in proportion to their property’s area.

• In public spaces, the use of face-masks is mandatory.

• Health filters, composed by the State Security Commission and by the Health Sector, will be established.

• In order to guarantee the sufficient supply of face-masks for health professionals, N-95 respirators and face-masks must be used exclusively by those engaged in such activities.

• Once the measures issued by the health authorities are no longer in force, the guidelines for an orderly, gradual and regionalized return to the labor, economic and social activities of the population of the State of Chihuahua, will be issued.

• The Department for Health Prevention and Promotion is established, in order to handle pandemics and public health problems.

The measures foreseen in Resolution No. 064/2020 shall remain in force until May 30th, 2020.
