Psychosocial Risk Factors

By colmena | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 17 September, 2018 | 0

Chihuahua, Chih., September 14th, 2018.

Dear Clients and Friends,

The positive enforcement of the Psychosocial Factors, aids to the overall health and wellbeing of the employees while promoting the incorporation of healthier habits, innovation, creativity, and productivity; on the contrary, the consequences of a negative enforcement results on the display of Psychosocial Risk Factors, which have a sensible influence on the development of diseases, absenteeism, the lack focus while working, rotation, low performance and inefficiency, among others; however, this is yet an unexplored topic, as well as the negative repercussions on the Labor field.

Along these lines, it should be pointed out that for the appropriate care of the psychosocial risk factors, the implementation of specialized methods and strategies that were previously authorized by the competent authorities is necessary, in order to protect the Companies with a risk of future contingencies regarding this topic, this because a general knowledge regarding this subject is not enough. The foregoing information becomes relevant due to the fact that nowadays the Mexican Social Security Institute, taking into consideration the terms established on the Federal Regulation regarding Safety and Health on the Workplace, has been qualifying as a cause of disease, on the Medical Care Notice and Qualification of Probable Work-related Illnesses (ST-9 Form) on the Etiological Diagnosis section, Stress and Emotional Tension, this with the corresponding negative implications regarding Social Security matters.

Along these lines, the Mexican Social Security Institute, this past August organized the 1st Seminar regarding Psychosocial Factors, Stress and Mental health on the Workplace, where topics such as the classification and consequences of the Psychosocial factors, violence at the workplace, stress due to work activities, the effects of mental disorders on the balance on job-family relationships, the legal framework of the psychosocial risk factors, emotions management, depression and low performance on the job, job positions evaluation, the lack of focus while working and its implications on the Companies; which alludes to the fact that the authority will keep holding these certification courses related with the previously referred risks.

As a result, it is important to inform you of the need to receive specialized counseling and training on the matter, or to offer our aid on the certification process of your staff on the recommended plan by the International Labor Organization and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, in order to guarantee an adequate enforcement of the Psychosocial Factors, with the purpose of being able to properly deal with the actions taken by the authority on the herein referred matters, and to avoid consequences that may affect the Company’s assets.

For this purpose, we inform you that our lawyers are up-to-date and fit to support the Companies on the referred topic, by virtue of receiving training along with the officials of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on the First FacilitationSeminar for the Enforcement of the Solve Program: Promoting Health on the Workplace by the International Labor Organization; being important to mention that, on a national level, they will be the first group of people which will earn a certification regarding this matter, thus being able to provide a professional and qualified service on this topic.
