Strategies for Accounts Receivable and Payable

By colmena | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 13 November, 2020 | 0

Chihuahua, Chih., November 13, 2020.

Dear clients and friends:

We refer to the current situation that the local economic environment is going through, which in addition to the difficult health panorama known to all, entails a complicated economic scenario for companies.

Given this, we have seen how many of our clients have been requiring our services to support them in designing strategies in various areas. They strongly ask us to implement actions to recover accounts receivable and clean up their past due portfolios, so that they have liquidity to operate their businesses and meet their obligations.

In that order of ideas is that we are at your service to support you in carrying out of court collection strategies in a first stage (that is, without the need to go before a judge and initiate litigation), aimed at recovering flow to your business. Subsequently, of course, there is always the possibility of initiating collection through judicial means (via the competent court) which, if necessary, would have to be tried; however, it would be seen on a case-by-case basis, first analyzing the particular situation with you, to establish the best path and achieve the desired objective.

In contrast, in the same way we can support you in designing a strategy in the event you have problems of debts to pay, to negotiate with creditors, generate settlements, seek to improve conditions, withdrawals, forgiveness, mediation, avoid litigation, or else, represent you in court if it was the case.

Finally, as you know, speaking of overdue portfolio (accounts receivable), we can support you in promoting lawsuits so you can take advantage of the tax benefit that the law allows, declaring the accounts as uncollectible; situation that results in an advantage from a fiscal point of view.

We have extensive experience in this matter; we are sure that we will find a mechanism that is the most suitable for you and the relationship with your customers and suppliers.

As always, we remain at your service for any comments or information in this regard. If you require assistance in this area, please contact Mr. Alfredo Issa Holguín, partner and head of the litigation area of our firm, at the email aissa@iclmx.com or by phone (614) 415-66-67.
