This bulletin is to provide information about the mandatory rest days for this new year 2024, which are contemplated in article 74 of the Federal Labor Law.
I.On January 1;
II.The first Monday in February in commemoration of February 5;
III.The third Monday of March in commemoration of March 21; (March 18).
IV.On May 1;
V.On September 16;
VI.The third Monday of November in commemoration of November 20; (November 18).
VII.On December 1 of every six years, when it corresponds to the transfer of the Federal Executive
Power; (1 October) for a single occasion.
VIII.On December 25, and
IX.That is determined by federal and local electoral laws, in the case of ordinary elections, to carry out the election day.
It should be mentioned that in the cases where the employer requires that the worker to provide its services, it should be determined by the number of employees it has, and if an agreement is not reached, it shall be resolved by the competent Court.
Workers who will provide their services on those holidays shall be entitled to be paid, regardless of their corresponding salary for the mandatory rest, a double salary for their service on that day.
