Chihuahua, Chih., September 11th, 2025
Dear Clients and Friends,
We would like to take this opportunity to restate that, in accordance with the decree published in the Official Journal of the Federation on May 15, 2025, INFONAVIT granted employers an extension for the amendment to Article 29 of its Law to come into force. This amendment eliminates the suspension of discounts for repayments of housing loans in the event of workers’ absence or disability.
Therefore, payment must be made no later than September 17, 2025, and the aforementioned amendment will be applicable as of the payment of salaries for the fourth two-month period of 2025 (July-August).
In this regard, once payment for the July–August period has been made and, in turn, during that period, payments have been made for the amortization of housing loans for workers with absences or disabilities, there will be a period of 15 business days to file an indirect amparo lawsuit, specifically against the second paragraph of Article 29 of the INFONAVIT Law.
