We hereby inform you that on the 23rd of this month and year, an Agreement was published in the Federal Official Gazette to eliminate and implement actions for the simplification and administrative improvement of services provided by the Mexican Geological Service. This Agreement aims to improve the following services:
- Services Contract.
Type: Geological Exploration.
- Services Contract.
Type: Hydrology and Environmental Geology Study.
- Services Contract.
Type: Geophysical Studies
Likewise, this Agreement implements improvements regarding the maximum resolution periods for the following services:
- Certification of reserves: The maximum period for the authority to resolve the request is 92 business days (32 days for response + 30 to 60 days for execution of work and delivery).
- Geological consulting: The maximum period for the authority to resolve the request is 65 business days (5 days for response + 30 to 60 days for execution of work and delivery).
- Sale of Geological-Mining and Earth Science Information: The maximum period for the authority to resolve the request is 17 business days (2 days for response + up to 15 days for delivery of the product).
Similarly, the “Services Contract” service with homoclave code: SGM-00-002 is modified, and the formats for the following homoclaves codes are established:
- FF-SGM-003 for service SGM-00-001 “Reserve Certification” and SGM-00-004 “Geological Consulting”.
- FF-SGM.005A for service SGM-00-002 “Services Contract” in its modality A) “Geological Exploration”.
- FF-SGM.005B for service SGM-00-002 “Services Contract” in its modality B) “Hydrogeological and Environmental Geology Studies”.
- FF-SGM.005C for service SGM-00-002 “Services Contract” in its modality C) “Geophysical Studies”
- FF-SGM.004 for service SGM-00-003 “Chemical Analysis, Characterization of Minerals and Metallurgical Research”.
- SGM-002 for service SGM-00-005 “Geological Information Consultations”.
- FF-SGM-001 for service SGM-00-006 “Sale of Geological-Mining and Earth Science Information”.
The transitional articles of the Agreement establish that it will enter into force the day after its publication, that services entered prior to that date will be governed by the regulations in force at the time of their submission, and that the necessary modifications and adjustments will be made to the rules, procedures, and mechanisms related to the Agreement.
