This bulletin provides information about the mandatory rest days for the new year 2025, as outlined in Article 74 of the Federal Labor Law.
I. On January 1;
II. The first Monday of February in commemoration of February 3;
III. The third Monday of March in commemoration of March 21 (March 17);
IV. On May 1;
V. On September 16;
VI. The third Monday of November in commemoration of November 20 (November 17);
VII. On October 1 every six years, when it corresponds to the transfer of the Federal Executive Power;
VIII. On December 25; and
IX. Any day determined by federal or local electoral laws, in the case of ordinary elections, for holding election day.
It should be noted that when the employer requires a worker to provide services on these mandatory rest days, this shall depend on the number of employees. If an agreement cannot be reached, the matter shall be resolved by the competent Court.
Workers who provide services on these holidays shall be entitled to receive, in addition to their regular salary for the mandatory rest day, double their regular daily salary for the work performed on that day.
