Last January 9th the new value of the UMA for 2023 was published, therefore the amounts of the thresholds for the identification and the filing of notices of vulnerable activities as defined in the Federal Law for the Prevention of Operations with Illicit Resources (LFPIORPI) have been updated.
As you are aware, since 2012 all parties engaged in the performance of vulnerable activities, such as gambling and bets, loans or credits, leasing of real estate, notary public’s services for the incorporation of legal entities and the modification of their assets, and the rendering of professional services for the incorporation and administration of legal entities, among others, are required to:
1) Identify the clients with whom they carry out vulnerable activities if their operations in such activities are equal to or exceed the amounts established in the “identification threshold”, and to;
2) Request information on the identity and occupation of their clients (their credentials, the documentation of the beneficial owner and the activities they are authorized by the SAT to perform), as well as to file notices before the SAT on their operations on the 17th of each month when such operations are equal to or exceed the amounts established in the “threshold of notices”.
In order to facilitate the understanding of the updated amounts, as well as to indicate some of the vulnerable activities regulated, please find attached the information foreseen in Exhibit 1.
